Juniors Sundays

One Sunday of each month (Feburay-November) is a Juniors Sunday. These days are designed to be a fun family and community time, when our young sailors have the opportunity to keep up their skills throughout the year. Fees for these days are included in your yearly Juniors Membership. And best of all, there is always a delicious bar-b-q lunch for our sailors. Students are encouraged to attend to keep up their skills throughout the year. Parents are encouraged to get involved and help-out also.
Check out our
Sundays page for info.

VYC Youth Racing Team
The team consists of our strong intermediate and advanced sailors who are interested in developing their racing skills.  The Yacht Club will host weekly races on Wedensday (Junior Wet Wedensdays) nights throughout the summer, and monthly/weekly practice throughout the year. Racers will also travel to various regattas throughout the year.

Summer Sailing Program certifies students as Beginners or Intermediate/Advanced in order to easily identify the best class for them to be in. The level system also allows students to be able to strive for achievement. Students who have been checked off of a level, but forget or regress will be moved down to the appropriate level until that level's requirements have been adequately demonstrated. Here is an explanation to the different levels and the requirements to pass out of them.
