VYC offers a junior
membership option for kids in the community ages 8-16. Our Sunday-Funday program runs one Sunday
per month February-November. Kids sail Sabots, Optimists, FJs & Lasers. In April, the
kids are welcome to attend VYC's annual day cruise out to Anacapa Island. In October, kids hop on board "big"
boats to sail in Ventura's annual Care-Givers Sail-a-thon. The last Sunday-Funday date in November is dedicated to VYC's
annual Optimist regatta. Junior members are encouraged to compete in the regatta or help with on & off the water
